Jack,

Check out the following kb/hotfix download that should resolve it..

"The following entry in the [strings] section is too long and has been
truncated" error message when you try to modify or to view GPOs in Windows
Server 2003, Windows XP Professional, or Windows 2000

Hi Folks:
After installing the following hotfix:
Update for Windows Small Business Server 2003: KB 872769
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=d70097c2-4317-40e0-b7da-feb52c6b6386&displaylang=en
Every time I try to launch the Edit user interface of the Group Policy
Management msc it throws about 8 or 9 incidences
of the this error dialog popup: (OK dismisses box but others reappear)
TO REPRODUCE:
1) Launch Group Policy Management console
2) Drill down to "Default Domain Policy" within the Group Policy Objects
container
3) Right click on the object and select "Edit"
4) Error appears.
Any ideas on how to correct this? Thank you in advance
Darren
