I know, but it is situated in a hundred year old house, and it would cost a
fortune to run some CAT5 back to the main switch. There might be a way, I've
got someone pulling some cables to extend the security system, I'll get him
to see if he can find a way of getting cables up there without requiring a
spend of several thousand pounds in redecoration.

Just to be 100% sure port 1723 has to be opened on the CLIENT firewall?
