There is some overhead with windows as it sets up for the copy so 15 seconds
is about right.
1000 / 8
125 MB/sec thoeretical
Intel has two different versions of onboard cards. One uses greater amounts
of CPU to acheive closer to theoretical maximums but niether get full 1000
Mbps.
Given the overhead created by windows and the performance expectiations of
the card I think you are in the right range.
You might try the same test using XCopy from DOS to see if you get any
better performance.
