For those of us who are willing to take the risk of hosting our public web
site on our SBS2003 servers, where is the best place to put the files. I
have our public web site on my laptop and I make changes and upload them
with FrontPage 2003 to our ISP. Do I have to put the files in the default
web site on the SBS machine? I'm not very experienced in the server side
but one of the reason's I purchased SBS was to save on some hosting fee's.
The other was to use features of IIS 6.0 not offered by my ISP. (I could
find a hosting service with the features but were on a pretty tight budget.
Our entire budget is going toward the broadband service our ISP offeres).
If I run the wizzard to allow business web site it opens up the default web
site to the public. That default page seems like it might be very useful
for staff. I hate to overwrite it storing our public site in there. Can
someone offer some suggestions. I'd really like to get my site moved or
start creating the new one I have in mind without losing the existing files.
Am I way off base? I know I could probably rename the default.htm and link
to it some other way.
Thanks
Steve
