Hi,
The new computers cannot resolve the domain name from the
dns servers they are being told to use as the dns servers
have no record of your domain plus .local is not an
intenet dns resolvable domain. I have no idea why the
other computers are able to resolve properly, some
anomaly during the intial setup probably.
The problem stems from the use of your router as DHCP
server. All the documentation warns against doing this.
This is what I would do.
1 Turn off DHCP on the router.
2 Change the server to static IP Address
>IP Address: 192.168.0.7
>Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
>Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
>DNS Servers: 192.168.0.7
>Primary WINS Server: 192.168.0.7
3 Make sure DHCP is installed and running set to server ip
4 Make sure DNS is installed and running set to server ip
5 Change WINS to 192.168.0.7
6 Run the CEICW wizard and enter the 199.45.32.43 and
199.45.32.38 as forwarders.
7 Do ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew on one of the new
computers and see if it is the same as this.
