Assuming: You are wanting to do wireless activesync and browsing internet
using Dell Axim x3 connecting to Basestation MN610/620/700.

1. Ensure that the wireless signals are turned on.
2. Since 802.11b wireless network does not require any authentication EAP
type needs to be unchecked.
3. In network adaptor tab use server assigned ip address instead of
specific ip adress.
4: use the ping utility software to ensure that the device is identifying
the base station .
5: SSID, channel , WEP key has to be identical to the configuration in the
Broadband utility tool installed on the PC.

After ensuring that the settings are correct one would be able to connect
to the basestation , do activesync wirelessly and browse internet.

Another issue I found:

Upgrading the Firmware:

The major reason why the MN 700 keeps losing connection is because the
firmware for the Base station is not upgraded. You will need to download
the latest firmware from the Internet By visiting:

http://wwww.microsoft.com/hardware/broadbandnetworking/15_downloads.aspx

Select MN 700 from the drop down list Under Auto Install, select
MSBNDownload.exe and save it to your hard disk and then run it to Install
the latest updates.

Then restart the machine and you should be able to connect to the network
with the MN 700
