"!" toggled back and forth between the Local O/S and ftp so you could
execute commands Locally
or FTP Commands on the Remote.
AFAIK you could not upload a batch file containing the command ( DEL
*.* ) and then execute it on the remote, and I certainly hope you can't
do that today.
