Hi Guys,
I am having some problems with a secon smtp address we
need addes to our exchange, i have followed the kb
articles and askes our ISP to point the MX A records to
our static ip (they say all is ok)
our firts email address is ok and sending/receivine mail.
the second address is where we are having problems.
I have setup the default email policy in system manager
and added the second domain.
Lets say: mydomain1.com and mydomain2.com
here is the return message when i try to send the email
to the second domain, i have also made sure the users
email addresss in the second one by default
These recipients of your message have been processed by
the mail server:
rory@ithacacoldstorage.com.au; Failed; 5.5.0 (other or
undefined protocol status)
Remote MTA mail.alwaysonline.net.au: SMTP diagnostic:
554 <rory@ithacacoldstorage.com.au>: Relay access denied
Reporting-MTA: dns; smtp01.syd.iprimus.net.au
Received-from-MTA: dns; cpms01.int.iprimus.net.au
(192.168.20.147)
Arrival-Date: Fri, 8 Oct 2004 11:43:49 +1000
Final-Recipient: rfc822; rory@mydomain2.com.au
Action: Failed
Status: 5.5.0 (other or undefined protocol status)
Remote-MTA: dns; mail.alwaysonline.net.au
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 554 <rory@mydomain2.com.au>: Relay
access denied
can't seem to understand why this is happening? i will
say that our isp receives all email and spam/virus scans
before forwarding on, hope this is not an issue but
mydomain1.com comes through ok so i doubt it.
What am i missing
