I have a Verison Samsung i600 SmartPhone (which I just upgraded to SmartPhone
2003), I have tried many times to get my it to sync with our SBS2003 many
times with no success and it seems to be very hard to find much info on
setting this up on the Microsoft site. It syncs just fine with Outlook 2003
which syncs with our server over a RPC connection. But if I try and set up
my phone to sync directly with the server I get the following error message:
“Syncronization failed. Verify that you have entered the correct server name
and try again. Error code: INTERNET_7”
I have tried using every combination of setting in ActiveSync to get it to
sync directly with the server but no success. Below are the settings I used
for Outlook to connect.
This is how our server is set up:
Domain name - www.domain.com
Internal domain name – domain.local
Outlook connection setting for RPC over HTTP (which is working great) –
Server Name - servername-srv.domain.local
Username – domain/username
URL to connect proxy server for Excahnge - https://www.domain.com
Principal name for proxy server - msstd:www.domain.com
Proxy authentication – Basic Authentication
I have tried using a combination of these setting in ActiveSync 3.7.1 but
not sure exactly which would be right for my SmartPhone or if the
Fastlicht.local is a problem.
I have ran the “Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard” a number of
times and made sure all “Mobile Services” in Exchange are checked. I am a
member of both the Administrative and Mobile User Templates.
I have tried from a browser to access https://www.domain.com/oma, I put in
my credentials and get the following page:
A System error has occurred while processing your request. Please try again.
If the problem persists, contact your administrator.
Home
If I click on the “Home” button it asks for my credentials again but
automatically fills in Username: www.domain.com\username, either way it
doesn’t take me anywhere.
I did find this in the event log after trying to log on from a browser:
An unknown error occurred while processing the current request:
