Is a route recommended with SBS2003 w/ two nic's?

have a client w/ a router that is giving him vpn problems.

SBS2003 std w/ one nic and a Cisco pix 506 firewall.

Want to recommend two nic's and maybe isa.

IS two nic's on sbs2003 secure enough?
