SBS Team,
Of course, I take a couple of days off for vacation and the RSM Database
corrupts. What luck. Anyway, just getting back to work today. Found a KB
#288856 that describes a workaround but the OS is 2000, not SBS 2003.
Has anyone had this problem? What is the best way to correct this on an SBS
2003 server?
Method 1 to correct the proble is if you have never backed up using the
NTbackup program. Not True.
Method 2 of The KB says... If you backed up the %systemroot% folder using
the NTbackup tool before the RSM database was corrupted, force RSM to import
the backup database.
procedures...
When RSM starts, it reads the preceding registry key, then forces the RSM
database to be restored from the files located in the
%systemroot%\system32\Ntmsdata\export folder.
PROBLEM... The export folder is empty.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
