Hi Jake -

Ok, there's really no reason to use a separate IP, as this can be done using
your current IP - and that helps keep things simple.

Start | Administrative Tools | Routing & Remote Access.

Expand Routing & Remote Access | <servername> | IP Routing | NAT / Basic
Firewall.

Right-click on your external / internet nic & select Properties. On the
Services & Ports tab, click Add. Enter a description of the service (e.g.
Surveillance), set the incoming port to 1024, the private address to
192.168.16.8 and the outgoing port to 1024. Click OK, Click OK and close
Routing & Remote Access.

Voila! - that should allow you to connect to the surveillance server using
your existing IP without creating a VPN connection. Note that you may need
to restart the Routing & Remote Access service . . .
