This problem is perplexing me and any help would be appreciated.
I have setup a VPN on a Windows 2003 SBS. VPN works beautifully, except
when VPN server is running, some local users cannot get their mapped
drives. I have chased this down to the problem...the VPN is showing the
server as IP 192.168.1.201. The server's LAN IP is 192.168.1.10. These
LAN users are trying to connect to the 192.168.1.201, and apparently this
is causing them to not get their mapped drives. Some LAN users are not
affected. Here is some additional information:
VPN was setup using RRAS wizard, no special configuration (although it is
only using single network card)
Server LAN IP is 192.168.1.10
LAN Gateway 192.168.1.1
LAN Client IPs are DHCP (range 192.168.1.12 - 192.168.1.200)
WINS service running on server 192.168.1.10
DNS service running on server 192.168.1.10
VPN clients get IPs from DHCP (range 192.168.1.201 - 192.168.1.220)
Please post if you need any additional information. This network was
already setup when I took over, so I will try to give as much info as I
have. Thanks in advance.
