Ross,

Another thought. If the person logged into the computer is a User, rather
than a Power User or Administrator on that computer then any changes that
they make will be session related and will go back to the default settings.
Have you tried changing to another type of local user? To do this log in as
the local administrator then go to the control panel, users applet. Make sure
that the user you want it listed with the proper domain designation. If they
are current User, try bumping them up to power user or admin and see if this
changes anything.
