User cannot access e-mail or internet

Help please. I have a user that logs onto the network OK. He can access the
server and his mapped drives. He cannot access his e-mail or internet. WHen
he tries to go into Outlook, he gets prompted for a password and it states
that his login info is incorrect. He gets DNS errors when he tries to access
the internet. I checked his settings and they look good. I put him on a
different computer and he logs into everything good. I tried to rename his
computer by running the network setup disk (while logged onto the computer
as the local compter adminitrator) and it will not complete the setup. I get
an error that states. "Windows 2000 Networking Wizard. The server is
unwilling to process the request. Cannot set computer name MYERS03".

I am running SBS2000. 2 NIC. Basic setup with the server handling DHCP etc.
His computer is a Inspiron laptop running XP Pro (without SP2, but with all
updates until SP2). Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very
