Have you added the adm template for SUS?

Once you install and configure the template, it'll probably take around 3
workstation reboots for it to apply. You'll be able to tell because your
settings will appear in Automatic Updates on the workstation, but you won't
be able to change them, even with admin rights.
There's no reason not to use the current OU unless that's your preference.
For example, I had some computers I wanted to exclude from automatic
updating (in my case, servers), so I created a second OU.
