Exchange Internal Messages slow?

Hi All

Got a SBS2003 system and I noticed today that when we send internal messages
its taking about 3 minutes before they turn up in peoples mailbox - I only
have 8 users - is this normal? Is there anything I can check to see why
messages "seem" to be delivering slowly?
