As the resulted of increase security for Window 2003 server, you could be
prompted for authentication

You can avoid getting prompt using these methods below:

I assume you are browsing to a intranet site (<http://servername>) with
Internet Explorer. The issue is resolved by adding the site as a trusted
site in IE setting.

1. Open IE
2. Tools, Internet Options
3. Click Security tab
4. Select Local intranet
5. click sites button
6. Click Advanced button
7. Add the site url and click OK twice
8. While under Security tab, with Local intranet still highlighted click
on Custom Level button
9. In the Security Settings window scroll down to the bottom in the User
Authentication, Logon section, make sure Automatic logon only in Intranet
zone is selected
10. Click OK twice to save changes
11. Close IE
12. Re-open IE and browse to the site. It should not prompt for logins
anymore.

When you browse to the portal site using its IP address, or FQDN, it is in
the Internet zone. And the default setting for Internet zone is to prompt
for login. We can do the following to resolve this problem.

1. Open IE
2. Tools, Internet Options
3. Click Security tab
4. Select Trusted sites
5. click sites button
6. Add http://portal_server_IP_address to the trusted site
7. Add the site url and click OK
8. While under Security tab, with Trusted sites highlighted, then click on
Custom Level button
9. In the Security Settings window scroll down to the bottom in the User
Authentication, Logon section, make sure Automatic logon with current
username and password is selected
10. Click OK twice to save changes
11. Close IE
12. Re-open IE and browse to the site with
http://portal_server_IP_address
13. Confirmed with you that it doesn't prompt for logins anymore.

Remove Internet Explorer Enhanced Security from Windows 2003 server (Not
recommended but probably the easiest solution)

A. Open Control Panel
B. Double click on Add/Remove Programs
C. Select Add/Remove Windows Components
D. Uncheck Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration and click Next
E. Follow on-screen prompt to remove IE Enhanced security
