Hi,
I have followed all the guides and instructions on
setting up rpc/https and I'm having some kind of
Authentication problem. I ran the CEICW wizard, and set
the server up for remote access. I went to remote web
workplace and clicked on the link Configure outlook via
the Internet, and followed the instructions. When I
finish the client configuration the login box keeps
popping up asking for my user name and password. Then I
get the message, "The connection to the Microsoft
Exchange Server is unavailable. Outlook must be online
or connected to complete this action." I open a web
browser and I'm able to access e-mail through OWA. I'm
using windows XP with hotfix Q331320 installed. I have
google grouped this and still have not found anything I
have missed. I have looked at KB 833401, KB 827330, and
followed all the troubleshooting steps. I have tried
this connection on a remote machine and a local machine,
I have tried different user names. And still the same
type of authentication problem, I have installed the
certificate on all of the machines as stated in the
guide's that I have looked at. On the client machine I
run the tool outlook /rpcdiag
And I get the expected error message from the KB listed
articles above. I have checked on the servers
registry's keys and confirmed that the ports 6001, 6002,
and 6004 are listed. I have SBS2003 premium, going
through a unix based firewall (remote access is working
fine OWA, RWW) I have only 1 nic card in the SBS2003.
Let me know if anyone has any ideas of what I'm missing.
I have setup 6 SBS2003 servers, and I'm only having this
trouble on this machine.

Thanks
Norman
