What features of vpn do your clients need? Remote access? Why not RWW and
then you only have 4 ports open to the world

25 assume exchange is using smtp and you are not using the pop3connector
so 3 or 4 ports only.
no port 80 and you are all clear.
strong passwords for the rww feature and keep the patches upto date.
