replaced nic card....then she no start no more HELP!

Hello, thank you for helping out. I shut down my sbs, then
removed the nic card and install a dlink card. After that
it wouldnt go past the screen that says "applying computer
settings", it stayed on that screen for over 30 mins. I
restarted in safe mode, it went in no problem. i installed
the nic drivers as it found the new hardware, rebooted as
asked. And i still cant get past the ""applying computer
settings" screen! Any suggestions would be great.
