Remote Web Workplace Timeout?

I'm wondering...occasionally when using RWW I sign off or more likely forget
to log off and then I can't get back on again for a good while? Maybe a
half hour or more? The log on page won't even display in my browser. Any
ideas? Is this some type of protection?
