Hi, a thread like this was started a couple of months ago by Doug
Geary, but no one responded to his message.
Like Doug, we have found that certain inbound mail is not directed to
the user, but lands in the Administrator account in SBS 2003. I have
done some investigation and found that it is email that is
mass-distributed to subscribers when the "To" address is sent to a
user listed as "Administrator" and all subscribers are BCC'd.
In effect, the sender of the email is mailing a copy "to" their own
administrator inbox and BCCing to all subscribers, but SBS when
receiving the BCC'd copy to the subscriber is seeing the word
"Administrator" listed as the "To" address, dropping it into the
receiving Admin's inbox and ignoring the BCC'd address.
There must be a way around this, but I am not an admin. I am just
writing because my admin is fed up with tracking these emails and
forwarding them on to me. There are two users in the company
(including myself) that are missing emails in this way.
Any help on this in terms I can pass on to my admin would be much
appreciated.
Thanks,
Peter
