WAP is part of the router, so is on the other side of the network. As
I say, I get no DHCP from that side (DHCP server seems to be switched
off on 192.168.1.0 subnet (should be listening on 192.168.1.4), and no
routing services are available on 192.168.1.4 (the only machine
capable of routing to the 192.168.2.0 network). This is why I wanted
to change back to the original configuration. Further to this, I
discovered last night, that the SBS machine is doing NAT for
192.168.2.0 network, which is totally un-necessary.
