(sorry if this posted numerous times...google was returning errors)
Thank you for your replies.
I have used memtest86 v3.1 for the RAM testing. I ran it for over 12
hours on all tests (1 test shy of 3 total passes), and a few passes
with standard tests. No errors. Would it be safe to assume my RAM is
O.K., or should I test w/ another program.
Also, what do you recommend to test the processor? Does the "Burn In
Test" by Passmark check the processor? What do these tests normally
check (ie. L1 and L2 cache, proc chip itself, etc)?
So, RAM, processor, and HD can be tested, but how accuratly?
Is there a program to check graphics card processor and memory? I
have an nVidia fx 5200 in the box and can't find a diagnostics program
on nVidia's site.
I will however track down the HD diag. program and run that.
Is there any other hardware that could be causing stop errors? Is
there a way to test whatever hardware that may be?
