OK - so here is what happens.
Internally on the LAN - users use Windows Messenger 5 to log in to our LCS
Server. LCS Server is a spearate Win Sever 2003 box. CA is on SBS2K3 box -
LCSServer has certificates as per instructions. All is fine.
If they leave the LAN with a laptop - and use a dial-up ISP, Messenger
cannot find the LCS Server. Changes must be made to the server name - see
below:
The reason they can access it internally, is that we simply type in the
simple name of the server. For example - LCSSERVER. This obviously will not
work externally - so we assume you simply put in the FQDN of the SBS Box -
and let it re-direct.
We followed MS advive as per
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;840415&Product=LiveComSrv2003
How to install Office Live Communications Server 2003 on a Windows Small
Business Server 2003 network
and did NOT install LCS on the SBS box.
Now what??
