Bryan,
The best way to configure the WAP is to assign it a static IP address and not to obtain its IP address from the DHCP server. Assign it a
static IP address on the SBS 2003 subnet and ensure that the assigned address is not included in the DHCP server's address pool. If it is,
configure an exclusion for the WAP's fixed IP address on the DCHP server scope.
If the WAP is working fine even with the DHCP server reporting that the lease for the WAP's IP is "inactive" then leaving things as they
are would cause no harm.
Best Regards,
Ricky Morris

Ok, so the magical power of a reboot has manifested itself once again.
I restarted the server after installing the latest updates, and now my clients can get DHCP addresses. I nearly did a dance of joy.
The WAP reservation still shows as inactive, but I don't know if that matters at all. Anyone know? For now, just having it work is good
enough for me.
