Marina,
I only have 1 NIC in each PC including the SERVER.
I have another WIN 2000 box without any service packs with the identical
settings as I sent earlier and file transfers/shares are very fast. So why
would those DNS, netBIOS settings work on that machine? and not on the
problematic one?
I keep ruling out the NIC hardware problem because this WIN2K PC talks fast
both ways to other WIN98 PCs.
It looks like I'll have to get a tech person in.
