So, you're using PPPOE. I don't have anyt direct experience with RASPPPOE.
Some have said it works fine. But I agree with Marina, buy a cheap router.
It will handle the PPPOE and you won't have to install third party software
on the SBS. It will also make future troubleshooting a bit easier and give
you an added layer of security as well.

It sounds like you also may benefit from a book like Harry Brelsford's
"Small Business Server 2003 Best Practices":

The built-in wizard (Connect to the Internet; also called CEICW) will walk
you through setting up email. The help file associated with the wizard has
some good info.
