Based upon many favorable comments I decided to evaluate Trend C/S/M For SMB
on a new install of SBS2003 Premium with ISA/SQL. The install of OfficeSuite
was without exception. The ScanMail install, after file loading, produced
the ScanMail Real-time Scan Monitor window and then produced a dialog box
requesting account name/password (strange, I am logged in as administrator).
After I provided these the OfficeScan admin window (IE) became
non-responsive and I had to end task. The ScanMail services are in place and
ScanMail appears to function as expected. The abnormal end to the ScanMail
install concerns me. Also when I open the OfficeScan HTML Admin Console and
select ScanMail for Exchange in the left panel, there is no entry for the
server. This also is not normal, if the ScanMail install was successful then
I would expect an entry here.
I have contacted Trend technical support two times without a solution.
As this point, I have reinstalled CSM Suite three different times on two
different new installs of SBS 2003. I get the same results each time.
While it may be premature at this time, I do not have high confidence in the
CSM Suite product for SBS 2003 Premium ISA/SQL.
Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Other product suggestions would
also be appreciated.
