Since that instance name is not one of the standard ones included with
SBS, I'm guessing you've installed some 3rd-party product that uses
MSDE/SQL.
Are your other MSSQL$<Instance> services working ok? (eg SHAREPOINT and
SBSMONITORING)
Assuming the problem is limited to just the 3rd-party instance, I'd try
reinstalling that application.
