I have the same issue and it is as if one of the devices is going to sleep.
Problem is that the only thing that resolves the problem is power cycling
the dsl modem. Been through three modems and two routers just to make sure
it wasn't faulty hardware. I have static ips so lease expiration isn't a
problem. I have a packet sniffer that is far better then the MS network
monitor and am planning to sleuth a little more when it happens again. BTW,
my problem only manifests itself a couple of times a week.
