| I have been having problems getting VPN up and in
| researching noted that some info says that I need 2 nic
| cards in my server. Is that true? I only have one and
| have MS article that talked about setting up VPN with only
| one and that is the one I am following.
|
| Have Linksy VP41 4 port VPN router.. if I need two nic
| cards then how do I connect to the router? Right now my
| little lan has internet access to all users and I thought
| VPN would be a snap at that point but.. headaches abound.
|
| Can I get away with one nic card?
|
| Also, do I need to set up IPSEC policy on the server as
| well as on the client side? Not clear.
|

You will be able to VPN with one network card. The issue you will be having
is does the Linksys allow PPTP server behind it. You will need to look on
the forwarders page to see if PPTP server is listed or Port 1723 and GRE.
You will need to forward PPTP traffic to you server privet address. If you
are using the VPN end point function. You will need to make sure when using
the Routers VPN server you are handing out the SBS's DNS address.
Thank you,
