The single domain is something they have been sold as
solving some of their problems (One company has bought out
another)

They have a custom database app on the Metro site, so I
was trying to leave "as-is" as much as possible.

The truest issue I can get around by creating new accounts
at metro and giving them an extra login for their mail
during transition.

SBS could be set up at Metro, however it would require a
rebuild/upgrade
