Thanks for your response.
The issue I believe is they have two sites:
(Sorry, but I am saying this from only two short client
interviews I have had with them. They are non-technical
and are frustrated with their current IT support, they
have asked me for a proposal. I am trying to get some
correct info before telling them that their infrastructure
needs to be up-ended)
One is a Remote site running SBS2003 With Exchange 2003
The other is a Metro site running 2003 With MDaemon Mail
Server.
Both are individual domains.
They want One singular domain, based in the metro. One
common mail address and preferably using exchange.
So I was planning to "absorb" the remote (SBS2003)into the
Metro (2003 Sv) starting with:
1 - Two-way trust
2 - New mail accounts on the Mdaemon Server (using the
trusted remote logons)
3 - Reconnect the remote clients to the new mail boxes and
forward remote mail to the new addresses
4 - Get their ISP to point the remote mail accs to the
MDaemon Server.
5 - Decommission Exch2003 at the Remote site, and then
join the Remote site (SBS2003)to the Metro Domain.
6 - After this was done I was going to build a separate
Exch 2003 Server at Metro (to allow for planned growth),
migrate the mail of MDaemon and decommission MDaemon.
This was the plan, but it looks like I may need to rebuild
the remote site...
