Hi Dave,
It looks like the document is complete, i.e. no other components need be
uninstalled/reinstalled. OWA shouldn't be affected, and Exchange certainly
doesn't need be uninstalled or reinstalled. (you might be thinking of IIS).
There's no reason why you can't try the maintenance re-install, and if it
fails then you can do the steps in the article to completely uninstall and
reinstall it.
For what reason you want to do this, you haven't specified.
