Rather than installing 3rd party software on the server, you could use Ghost
2003 to boot from a special Ghost DOS Boot Floppy to image the partition(s)
to a spare hard drive and then restore them to the original drive while
adjusting the partition sizes. No software needs to be installed on the
server for this.

>From that point, you could continue to use Ghost 2003 to image your server
periodically for faster disaster recovery (Ghost image + most recent
backup).

Acronis makes a similar product called True Image 7.0 but I'm not sure if
you can boot to DOS from it to create images.
