Les,

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I think it should work as well - in the
time between the posting of the original question this morning and now I
have found another friend who is using the same DSL provider that I was
using last night and who is running XP home. He is able to get in with no
problem.

What happens is that when I type the ip address of the SBS machine in the
browser there is a long pause and then I either get the dnserror.aspx screen
or I get a
"Cannot find server or DNS error Internet Explorer" screen.

Yes, there are two machines at this remote site, both running XP home, both
connected to the DSL line through the same router, both display same error.

I checked the router configuration, and placed one machine in the DMZ
thinking that this might allow it unfettered access to the Internet, same
result though. I am not a router god, so while I think that the firewall is
properly disabled, I'm not positive. We are currently trying to find the
logon password to the PPPoE account so that we can reset the router to
factory defaults in the hope that that might let us through.

Could the firewall on XP be causing problems? I didn't think to check that
last night?

Thanks,

Todd
