I'm setting up the server for remote access from a home computer, and would
appreciate any help. The current setup is as follows:
Router gets allocated an IP by the service provider, which will remain
constant until it reconnects. The provider can't give us a static IP, but
if we don't disconnect then the dynamic IP will remain constant - so we
should be able to use it to gain access to the server? Let's saythe router
IP is 180.100.100.1
The router's LAN IP is 10.0.0.1, the NIC on the server connected to it is
10.0.0.2. The internal NIC on the server is 192.168.16.1.
When I am setting up the ports in the Routing and Remote Access panel, in
the Configure Device dialog for each port I have to specify an IP address.
Which one do I use?
What port forwarding options do I have to set up on the router?
