Rick,
ISA Server does NOTreplace IIS. It is intended as a different application,
that can provide Firewall, URLCaching, and Publishing or resources to the
Internet. IIS is intended as a location where Web Sites are created.
The potential conflict with outbound http requests, given that the
applications reside on the same physical machine, is that they both cannot
use TCP port 80. So, IIS will use port 80 and ISA Server will need to use
TCP port 8080, for the outbound web listener, and the Web Proxy Clients
(Internet Explorer) will need to set the Tools>Internet
Options>Connections>LAN Settings to be port 8080, and bypass proxy for
local addresses. Also, Winsock Proxy Clients or Firewall Clients on the
workstations will need to point to proxy on port 8080.
