I installed SBS2003 & everything went fairly smooth, email working ok, then
a few days ago I noticed in outlook on client pc's that they can no longer
connect the Exchange.
Looking through the server performance report, there are several critical
errors in the application log, MSExchangeSA, The MAPI call 'openmsgstore'
failed with the following error: The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is
no longer available. Either there are network problems or the Microsoft
Exchange Computer is down for maintenance. The MAPI provider failed.
Microsoft Exchange Server information store ID no: 8004011d-0525-00000000
Also MSExchangeDSAccess Process MAD.EXE (PID=2452). All Domain Controller
Servers in use are not responding:
MSExchangeFBPublish error initializing session for virtual machine
MSExchangeSA DSACCESS returned an error'0x80004005' on DS notification.
Microsoft Exchange System Attendant will re-set DS notification later
MSExchange IS Error starting storage Group
MSExchangeAL LDAP Bind was unsuccessful on directory
MSExchangeAL The WIN32 API call 'DsGetDCNameW' returned error code [0x862]
The specified component could not be found in the configuration information.
The service could not be initialized. Make sure that the operating system
was installed properly.
Re-booting is no help. before these errors occurred it was running fine. At
the moment we collect email using the Email accounts wizard in outlook 2003
on each client pc.
If I have to Re-install SBS2003 where do I stand with having to activate it
again & will the new install of SBS2003 pickup the emails that have been
downloaded onto client pc since Exchange went down.
Has anyone got any ideas on what has gone wrong or am I going to have to
re-install SBS
Thanks
Bernard George
