Hello Merv, same error happens when attemtping to
reinstall the monitoring tool. I have tried it severally
times without success and same error.
I tried to Monitoring and Reporting in Server Management
and received new error "Snap-in Creation Failed".
I used to receive this error in Application Log every few
hours "Could not connect to the monitoring database. This
can occur when there are multiple connections to the
database. Wait a short period of time, and then try again.
If this error persists, run the Monitoring Configuration
Wizard, and select Reinstall monitoring features.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp."."
But haven't received it since trying to uninstall the
monitoring tool.
Please let me know if you have any ideas how to get this
working again.
Thanks again for your prompt replies to my problem.
Roger
