Hi Tristan,
I'm unclear if you mean Exchange works in RPC over HTTP mode from inside the
LAN, or if Exchange is working in regular fashion. Also, are using ISA?
In your Exchange settings, Check the box that enables you to "connect using
HTTP first, then TCP/IP" on FAST networks and see what that does. This will
test the RPC over HTTP within the LAN.

Hi, I have a user who can't connect to Exchange from at home using a dial-up connection with a different ISP. Outlook 2003 keeps prompting him for his password, but works fine when he connects up to the work LAN. He has RPC outlook patch installed and the settings are the same as everybody else. I've tried reinstalling the certificate on their laptop, but it didn't work. Any ideas.... In the Event Viewer - he is getting Error: 529 Source: Security. He has just recently changed his password, but it works fine when connecting to the Lan. Thanks Tristan www.backpackpro.com
