This one is gonna be hard to explain. So bear with me. What I am about to
describe is happening for me, I'm not sure if anyone else can reproduce
this.
I am unable to send an email in OWA. When you use OWA and open a new
message. The "Untitled - Message" screen opens. If I move my cursor up to
the top of the tool bar that consists of the Send, Save, Print and etc.
buttons, an "Error on page" appears in the status bar at the bottom. If I
double-click on the "Error on page" message it opens a window titled
"Internet Explorer" with a message saying "Problems with this Web page may
prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly........."
and lists a specific error "Error: Object doesn't support this property or
method." Did I lose you yet?
If I go ahead and try to use any of the buttons in that toolbar I get an
error, one for each separate button. For instance if I click the Send
button another window opens titled "Microsoft Internet Explorer" with the
message "Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site
https://66.236.xxx.xxx/exchange/username/." "Operation aborted"
Described above is occuring on both Win 2000 Pro and Win XP Pro machines
with the latest updates. HOWEVER if I go to the server itself and use OWA,
everything works fine. I have searched MS KB under SBS 2003, IE, and
Outlook with no success. I am not a programmer but I am guessing it has
something to do with IE and the programming language that OWA uses, such as
scripts, Active X, Java, etc. Like I said, I'm not sure if anyone else can
reproduce this. But I would appreciate any help on this. I would be nice
if I can send mail using OWA from remote locations. Thanks in advance.
