On your mapped drive question if you have a shared folder on the server
called say DATA and you want all your users to be mapped to this you would
add this line to your login script.

net use F: \\server\data

and the drive letter can be what you want it to be outside of C and A Drive
letters and E and D in some cases also. The Login script is located on C
Drive Windows\sysvol\sysvol\domain\scripts and you can edit that

On Group Policies you can go to support.microsoft.com and Search the
Knowledge Bases on Windows 2003 and Group Policies and you will get all the
reading you want and then some. Just be very very aware of what you are
doing when you change any of your policies especially if you are making any
changes on your Domain or Domain Controllers Policies as this affects all
workstations and the server.
