This works - may not be official
Note the current network settings on the LAN Adaptor under Control Panel >
Networking, including on the wins tab.
Shutdown and replace the NIC.
Restart in SafeMode with Networking
Manually reconfigure the Adaptor per original settings
Restart Normally
