I have about 10 accounts set up to download via the pop
connector. At least once a day this service would stop
functioning, and there would be an error similar to below.
I researched this issue on the Support site and found MS
Article 833992 that seemed to be describing the exact
issue. After reading this article and looking at the task
manager the imbdownl.exe process was active, but at 10-15%
CPU utilization instead of the 25+ listed in the KB
article. If I ended the process, the downloads would
resume on the schedule until the next occurence. I applied
the 833992 package and applied it, and all was well for a
couple of days. Then the problem started reccuring. I
looked at the file statistics for the 833992 package and
compared them to what was on my server and what is on my
server is a lesser version, and older date. I reinstalled
the package, but still have not gotten the file version
that the KB described.
I am also getting a lot of errors 1023, 1036, 1019
The application log may contain an event that is similar
to the following:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: POP3 Connector
Event Category: Download
Event ID: 1067
Computer: Computer_Name
Description: There was an error logging out from the POP3
server. The error is -2147014858 (An operation was
attempted on something that is not a socket.). All the
messages will remain in the server and its recipients may
receive it more than once.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
