What do y'all think of Mica using a second IP assigned to the external NIC
so ZoneEdit had two IP's to work with to serve to DNS. Would this provide
some redundancy, or is it false redundancy because it's going to one NIC on
one server?

I agree with Trevor. Why do you need the other IP addresses? Apart from
the web server in the DMZ that Trevor mentioned (and only IF you decided
you need to do that) then I would hand back the IP addresses and save a
little money.
