Had the same issue on one upgrade. First tried dropping them to workgroup
and rejoin the domain.. no go. Ended up dropping them out of the domain to
workgroup mode, changing the computer names and giving new computer names to
SBS 2003 then used the connect computer wiz to join choosing a computer name
from the list all was finally well.
