Hi,
Basically, open a command prompt, and type ping -l 1500 -f mail-server-name
and start lowering the value until you don't get the fragmentation error, at
that point test the same ping without the -F switch to make sure it actually
works, that will be your effective MTU, see if you router allows you to
configure that.
Linksys should have more information on changing that configuration on the
router.
I would still disable EDNS to take it completely out of the equation, even
on non-upgrade scenarios it applies if there is a router on the way that
does not support it.
